Jill Beckwith joined the Economic Progress Institute Board in October 2018.

Jill K. Beckwith, MPH (she/her/hers) is the Executive Director of the Martin Richard Institute for Social Justice at Bridgewater State University. Jill has also served as Director of Operations and the Director of Research, Grants & Evaluation for the Institute since joining BSU in 2017. Jill was Deputy Director, Senior Policy Analyst, and Policy Analyst at Rhode Island KIDS COUNT, a statewide children’s policy and advocacy organization based in Providence, RI between 2003-2017. Prior professional positions include Director of Prevention at AIDS Project Rhode Island in Providence, RI; Assistant Director at the Massachusetts Prevention Center at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA; Associate Director of the Measurable Enhancement of the Status of Health (MESH) Initiative at the Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health System in Allentown, PA; and Public Health Educator at the Milwaukee WI City Health Department. Jill has a Master of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
