Paula Hodges joined the Economic Progress Institute Board in October 2020.

Paula began her career in political organizing in her home state of Missouri where she worked for the Missouri Secretary of State, America Votes and as political director for the Missouri National Education Association. She later led the Rhode Island Public Policy and Governmental Relations team at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. She later worked in New Hampshire as the State Director for America Votes, founder of the NH Campaign for Voting Rights, New Leaders Council NH and the first donor alliance in the state. She focuses on systems change facilitation at her consultancy, Anchor Strategies and helps build state level democracy funding steams in her role as Director of State Strategies at Committee on States. She graduated from Truman State University with a degree in Cultural and Political Advocacy and earned her MBA from the University of New Hampshire. She lives in Providence, RI with her partner, Fardis, their dog and cat. They often travel as a pack exploring the region, biking, hiking, kayaking and skiing. She can also be found baking, making cheese and hosting lots of supper club parties.
