Rhode Island Women of Color 2018 — A Snapshot

Co-produced by the Women's Fund of Rhode Island and EPI, this infographic shows that 2 in 5 RI women work in healthcare, social assistance, or educational services; the median wages for women and especially women of color are much lower than the RI median wage; nationally, 3 in 4 of all caregivers for aging family members are women; and the economic value of the informal care provided by women is estimated at between $148 billion and $188 billion annually.
