EPI's 2025 Legislative Agenda — the policies we're promoting to reduce disparities & help all Rhode Islanders meet their basic needs

Last updated: March 28, 2025

The best way to define an organization is to ask a simple question: “What do they fight for?”

At the Economic Progress Institute, we fight for a state where people come first. A state where we all have healthcare when we’re sick, a safe place to live, childcare that doesn’t break the bank, nutritious food to eat, and access to opportunity regardless of race, gender, disability, age, or zip code. EPI fights for racial justice, tax equity, paid leave, payday lending reform, raising children and families out of deep poverty, healthcare protections, a living wage, worker justice, small business investments, and a well-funded public sector that delivers essential services effectively...because we want to ensure that every Rhode Islander has the means and the freedom to take care of our families, pursue our dreams, and have a good life — with no exceptions.

Our 2025 Legislative Agenda lists the specifics. We are The People’s Lobbyists and we are proud to be lobbying for you!
